What can we say, working with Margaret Waryszak was the best!
We had a townhouse in Windsor that we were going to renovate and rent but we were struggling to find a contractor that could handle the full job as we lived too far away to oversee it directly. We then decided to sell and based on a simple area search on Google Maps, DeerBrook Realty stood out with a number of high reviews. A quick cold call later and Margaret was meeting us to have a look. She arrived with a full review of comparables in the area over time and an expectation of price including an adjustment with the current market. She provided a lot of insight on what maximizes your sale amount, and what’s not worth replacing or renovating.
We discussed the renovations that would provide the biggest return in selling price and we had mentioned we had a challenge finding contractors. She provided several local contractors that called in no time to arrive and give us quotes that same weekend. She also facilitated letting some contractors into the townhouse to perform quotes after we returned home that weekend.
Through one of her contacts, we found an excellent contractor that did a great job at a great price. Once everything was completed, Margaret decided the patio door entry needed a proper mat to protect the floor for showings and went out and purchased one as a gift to us
Margaret then formulated the approach to spark interest for viewings and traffic to show the place including a very busy open house
Holding for offers netted 17 offers… in this receding market! And we received more than one offer well over our expectations – outstanding!
Margaret didn’t stop there, she then took it upon herself to drop by the property regularly to ensure all was in order leading up to closing all this saved us having to come back out again. She even purchased a consumer lockbox to allow the new buyers to get their keys directly.
I’ve worked with realtors in the past but Margaret went well past above and beyond right from the get- go and multiple times, again-outstanding!
